1

Open Notifications settings

In the left-hand menu go to Settings → Notifications. This page controls all alert recipients and thresholds for your account.

2

Add an email recipient

Click Add recipient and enter an email address. You can add multiple recipients — for example your team mailbox and an on-call address. Each recipient receives alerts independently.

Tip: Use a shared team mailbox rather than a personal address so alerts aren't missed when someone is on holiday.
3

Choose when to alert

Set the days before expiry thresholds at which notifications are sent. The default is 60, 30, and 7 days. You can adjust these to match your renewal process — for example, if your CA takes 5 business days to issue, add a 14-day threshold as a safety margin.

4

Optionally add a webhook

If your team uses Slack, Teams, or any other tool that accepts webhooks, click Add webhook and paste the URL. CertControl sends a JSON payload on each alert event. Webhooks require https://.

Slack: Create an Incoming Webhook in your Slack app settings and paste the https://hooks.slack.com/… URL here.
5

Save and send a test alert

Click Save. Use the Send test button next to each recipient or webhook to verify delivery before relying on it in production.
